Final remarks
Particle Animation
is slow for high number of particles, so you have to test the animation with as
few particles as possible. Particles that are not visible (temporarily eclipsed
by other objects) should be key framed as hidden. This speeds up the animation,
sometimes considerably.
Choose the particles to obtain the desired effect
with minimum polygon count. As I already said, particles could be very different
and it is no restriction on how many items make up a particle. That means you
may use, for example, several spheres in object01 to have a thicker smoke with
the same number of particles. On the other hand, you can use different types of
particles in the same animation, as I did in “magma.avi”.
In this case the particles (eobjects) will reference randomly different objects
(object01, object02, …).
