- "Particle Trail" submenu (Object menu) adds a customizable particle trail to a moving object. The particles move on the tangent to the path at the location where they were generated. The user is in control over the shape and life span of the trail.
- Added a new setting for explosion effect (starting frame for debris).

- "Flickering light" submenu (Add To Project menu) adds to a scene in a one shot process an animated light with randomly changing luminance (keeping the hue of the color). That avoids the tweaking with RGB values for each key frame. Useful for fire animations.

- "Explosion" submenu (Add To Project menu) adds an explosion effect simulated with fireball and debris.
- Option for front-mapping on generated terrains (the default is top-mapping). It is useful when applying height map style gradient textures on animated sequences.
- Animated terrains, backgrounds, fire, explosion are provided with a parent target object (TAN8terraintarget, TAN8backgroundtarget, ...) for easy positioning in the scene. When an effect is added to a project, the parent target of the effect is placed by default in the center of the scene. Move (rotate) the target for moving (rotating) the whole effect!
- Fix for missing file material for terrain sequences added to already existing scenes
and other minor fixes.

- "Fire" submenu (Add To Project menu) adds fire (or smoke) animation to an .an8 project file. The look of the fire is highly customizable.

- "Morph Object" submenu allows vertex animation based on two imported key objects. Terranim8or interpolates between the earlier imported object and the target object. Morphing can be combined with animated materials.

- Noise modifier for imported Anim8or objects. The noise can be applied on x, y and z axis with the desired strength (as max. noise in Anim8or units). Adding noise can be combined with animated materials.

- An "Animated Material Editor" was added. This makes possible the simulation of animated materials for terrains, backgrounds and imported Anim8or objects. Every parameter is animatable: factors, percents, textures (as image sequences).
- "Object" menu, with "Import", "Apply Animated Material" and "Export" submenus. You can import your Anim8or objects from files and apply animated materials, then export them back (or add to any other project file).
- New "Terrain" and "Add To Project" submenus were created to reflect the new functionalities added by animated materials and importing objects.
- The "Add To Project" menu now accepts to specify not only an existing project file, but also a new one.

- "Animated Background" submenu in "Add To Project" menu, displaying a sequence of images in an Anim8or scene. Useful also for TV screen simulation, even if the TV set is moving!

- The terrain generation algorithm was rewritten for a wider range of terrain shapes.
Three types of surfaces are available: regular, fractal and turbulent.
- An option for clouds makes a spherical mapping of the terrain to create the appearance of the sky dome with clouds.
- Certain terrain parameters were modified, also the terrain editor.

- The "Load Terrain" sub-menu allows opening and further modification of an already saved terrain.
- More flexible "Design" menu. While in the earlier versions the design was done from scratch each time, now the currently built terrain is subject of editing by design. An "Edit" menu with "Clear All" sub-menu makes the user's life easier.
- The "Repeat" option for File Output which re-adds a sequence in the scene a specified number of times overcomes the limitation of the earlier versions. It makes possible a continuous sequence of practically unlimited length, without a significant grow of the file size!

- Fixed my negligence (finishing the tests for shifting, I forgot resetting a parameter, therefore version 2.0 is generating always pattern-shifted sequences).

- Can be defined a spatial shift of the pattern in a sequence, with adjustable speed, making running water and clouds animation a lot easier.
- Options for subdivision and smooth angle, to avoid doing that in Anim8or tens of times for long sequences.
